Everything you need to design, specify, and install Caldera ALC systems
Caldera Autoclaved Lightweight Concrete (ALC) panels are factory-produced with anti-corrosion steel reinforcement and steam-cured for dimensional precision. This section consolidates system components, connection hardware, installation methods, and design data to help architects, builders, and installers integrate our wall, partition, floor, roof, and façade systems with confidence.
System Overview
Material & Build:
Quartz sand, cement, lime, gypsum; foamed with aluminum paste; double-layer steel mesh with anti-corrosion treatment; autoclave cured.
Performance Snapshot:
Density: 600–700 kg/m³ (≈¼ the weight of conventional concrete)
Compressive strength: > 5.5 MPa
Thermal conductivity: 0.11 (approx. R 0.95–1.25 per inch)
Acoustics: Noise reduction 30–50 dB (thickness-dependent)
Fire resistance: Up to 4 hours, non-combustible, no toxic gases
System Components & Accessories
Our approach blends precision manufacturing, technical support, and on-site integration to deliver complete wall and floor solutions—whether for new builds, retrofits, or large-scale commercial projects. Every panel is backed by real data, proven case studies, and a commitment to help our partners build smarter.
Standard Connection
Our connection methods are designed for structural reliability and installation speed. Exterior panels use hook-head bolts and angle steel bearing, with optional anti-hurdle members for enhanced wind and seismic restraint. Interior partitions rely on pipe clamps and tube cards for quick top and bottom fixing. Floor and roof panels are supported on steel beams with standardized detailing to ensure consistent performance across building types.
Joints, Sealants & Continuity
Proper joint treatment is essential for air, water, acoustic, and fire integrity. Caldera panels are sealed using compatible backer rods, acoustic sealants, and fire-rated sealants depending on the application. When installed correctly, joints maintain up to 50 dB sound reduction, deliver airtight and watertight seals, and preserve fire resistance ratings of up to 4 hours for critical assemblies.
Openings, Penetrations & MEP
Panels can be factory- or site-cut to accommodate windows, doors, and building services. Openings are reinforced with angle steel or hook bolts as required. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing penetrations can be neatly cored, then sealed with appropriate fire and acoustic materials to maintain wall ratings. The result is a clean, integrated envelope ready for finishes and fittings.
Tolerances, Handling & Storage
Caldera ALC panels are precision manufactured to tight tolerances, reducing the need for on-site adjustments. Panels are delivered ready to install, with lifting points designed for safe handling. They should be stored on level dunnage, covered, and kept dry until installation. Proper planning of staging, sequencing, and crane access ensures a faster, cleaner build with minimal site congestion.
The Journey of Your Project with Caldera Panels
From concept to completion, Caldera supports every stage of your build. Our team works closely with architects, builders, and developers to ensure your project runs smoothly, on time, and to the highest performance standards.

Planning & Design
Every successful project starts with thoughtful planning. In this phase, we collaborate with your design team to align project goals, select the appropriate ALC panel systems, and integrate them into your architectural plans and structural layouts. We provide detailed R/RSI values, fire ratings, and span data, making it easy to incorporate Exterior Wall Panels , Floor & Roof Panels, or other systems into your design early on.

Permitting & Approvals
Our products are backed by internationally recognized testing (ASTM, CAN/ULC) and municipal certifications, simplifying code compliance and energy modeling. We supply the technical documents and data sheets needed for energy, fire, and structural approvals, helping you fast-track local permitting and meet Step Code or LEED goals.

Site Preparation & Clearing
Before installation begins, our team coordinates delivery schedules and panel staging to match your construction timeline. Because Caldera Panels are prefabricated and lightweight, site preparation is cleaner and faster—reducing on-site masonry, wet trades, and waste.

Foundation & Structural Integration
Once foundations are in place, panel installation begins. Our mechanical lifting methods, standardized hook bolt and angle steel systems, and precision-cut panels allow faster assembly with fewer trades. Whether you’re installing Wall Panels or Roof & Floor Panels , our team ensures proper alignment, sealing, and integration with your structural framing.

Installation Support & Training
We don’t just ship panels — we stay involved. Caldera provides on-site training, installation manuals, and direct support to contractors and installers, ensuring correct handling, joint sealing, and finishing for long-lasting performance.

Project Completion & Handover
The end result: a structure built with high-performance ALC systems, combining fire safety, thermal efficiency, acoustic comfort, and sustainability—delivered on time and on budget. Contact Our Team to start your next project.
